Dr. Shelton Jefferies

Dr. Shelton Jefferies believes that education is a vehicle for empowerment. He dedicated twenty-four years as an educator committed to improving the access to rigorous coursework and preparing students for career success. Dr. Jefferies was an Elementary principal, High School principal, and Superintendent.

During his career, he broadened Integrated Student Supports; to arm schools in the identification of risk factors and implementation of interventions to address barriers to student achievement. Dr. Jefferies was best known for redesigning traditional settings such as CITI high school, the Center for Industry Technology and Innovation, which focuses on providing industry certifications or an Associate Degree in Automotive Systems Technology. He also served as the VP of National Growth for a national charter organization. His responsibilities included educational products, services and partnership development. He remains a fierce advocate for student success.
